AMyn continues the strong streak of new European producers on mothership. He delivered a 2 minute demo to mothership about 6 months ago. It was so dubby and funky that Claude asked him to make it into a full track for the label.
“Moonbird” definitely has some overtones from previous CVS material like “Who’s Afraid of Detroit?” and “Warpaint” but it has it’s own heavy techno influences which sets it apart from those tracks. Deep lush pads play against growling basses and quick vocal funk drops. Even though AMyn is a new producer, the track expands and collapses like a veteran producer was behind it.
We hope to hear more from him in the future but for now, check out “moonbird.”
